Serve Teams
Our weekend services require a lot of people to make them work, from Ushers and Greeters to the Parking Team as well as everywhere in-between. If you call CORNERSTONE your church home, we ask that you join one of these Teams and use the unique gifts that God has given you to help make these services happen. Below are some of the ways you can SERVE with us on the weekends.
Usher Team
CORNERSTONE ushers help people find seating during the worship services, hand out bulletins, collect the offering, serve communion and help with any general needs that people may have. Commitment: once or twice a month during service.
Greeter Team
Our greeters are some of the first friendly faces a person meets when stepping onto campus. The greeters are responsible for welcoming people, helping direct people traffic before and after services, as well as answer any questions. Commitment: once or twice a month.
CORNERSTONE Music
The mission of CORNERSTONE Music as a worship team is to create an authentic worship experience that cultivates an atmosphere of God’s presence through music with a mixture of contemporary, gospel, hymns and spiritual songs. The team should be dedicated to both making and being disciples, while using their God given gifts for His glory.
Prayer Team
As a family of God, we are convinced of the power of prayer. We are a team that offers prayer and support to the members and attendees of our church family. Commitment: once or twice a month after each service.
Parking Lot Team
Where does worship begin at CORNERSTONE? Surprisingly, it actually begins in the parking lot. Each and every Sunday, the Parking Lot Ministry Team, made up of dedicated volunteers, has the distinct opportunity to make a positive impression on our worshippers. This is the only ministry team that influences every person who drives onto our campus. To regular attenders or members, they are the first to extend a warm, friendly greeting. To guests, they are a very important first impression of our church. The Parking Lot Ministry exists to make CORNERSTONE San Bernardino a safer, more convenient place for people to fellowship and visit.
Hospitality Team
Our hosts make coffee and prepare donuts for Sunday morning. This is a fun community oriented team with a variety of tasks and hands needed.
Commitment: once or twice a month before or after services. Focus on the welcome and hospitality experience of our visitors and members.
Goal: create a great impression and remove unnecessary barriers to a repeat visit.
Addendum:
- Oversee the working of all hospitality program and visitor care ministries.
- Coordinate the activities that involve hospitality and care ministries.
- Be alert to the needs of the church membership and ways to serve those needs.
- Develop a mission and vision statement for your team, if that will help guide your ministry.)
Production Team
Join us in serving behind-the-scenes as we care for the logistics of the church service including media, audio, lighting, and stage needs. Commitment: once or twice a month during service.
Set-Up/Tear-Down Team
From ensuring a clean auditorium and toilets, to setting up the stage/altar, and to helping get the CORNERSTONE Kids rooms ready there is a spot for everyone! Commitment: once or twice a month before first service.
Protocol
The Protocol team members are responsible for routine protocol duties within the Church premises during services and meetings. They help to maintain and/or enforce civility and orderly behavior in according to Habakkuk 2:20.
